GERMAN WWII GROSSDEUTSCHLAND ENLISTED MAN/NCO VISOR CAP.

A Dutch produced cap, this cap came with the special pattern tailor made Grossdeutschland tunic also on this website. Possibly size 56 cap constructed in heavy grey wool of identical weight of cloth and virtually identical colour to the Grossdeutschland tunic. A slightly lighter shade of dark green centre band than normally encountered. A good matched set of aluminium stamped national eagle and cockade. NCO double buckle chinstrap with the addition of a Luftwaffe style double edged peak with green interior lining. Grey gold satin ribbed lining with a complete but slightly broken centre celluloid lozenge with a name tag to the interior of the lozenge ‘Bestow STPF.J.R.Grossdeutschland’ to the printed label, with its mid tan leather sweatband all intact. Standard infantry white piped.
