GERMAN WWII GROSSDEUTSCHLAND NCO TUNIC AND TROUSERS.
A highly unusual tunic and trousers constructed from the identical bolt of cloth. The tunic with six button closure, M.36 style of four pockets all with pleats and pocket flaps. Deep Barrel cuffs, No moth anywhere on the tunic or trousers. Good nap to the wool, which is of heavyweight. Completely grey satin lined with a belt loop and clip, a specially tailored hole in the pocket for the dagger strap, one inside pocket. We believe that this has been specifically ordered by a Grossdeutschland NCO, the dark green collar, white piped that would normally be fitted to the special pattern Grossdeutschland tunic, which is excessively rare, with its very specific Grossdeutschland litzen. NCO lace around the collar. The tunic jacket is white piped to the front skirt. Stitch-in shoulder boards, green centred, white piped with metal Grossdeutschland motifs. A hand applied army NCO breast eagle. Lower right sleeve fitted with the NCO Sutterlin script Grossdeutschland cuff band. The trousers constructed on M.36 style are white piped to both legs at the seams. The tunic is of upper medium size proportions. Some stitches slightly loose to the Grossdeutschland collar litzen, as if this has been deliberately picked open to view the material below the litzen bars. The litzen has been machine stitched to the green collar with the collar backing machined to the green outer after the attachment of the litzen. A rare Grossdeutschland uniform.
