A standard field grey material constructed in the configuration for a standard parade tunic without pockets. Stitch-in shoulder boards, white wool piped with the rank of Oberfeldwebel in the 56th Infantry Regiment. Standard dark green, white piped, NCO lace to the collar edge, parade style white based collar patches. Officers wire woven breast eagle, the remains of the tunic being white piped with parade type cuffs. To the right hand sleeve stitches remain where a standard bearer’s arm patch has been removed. To the interior of the tunic a ‘Hugo Strobel of Ostrach’ silk woven tailors label.
