A nice condition K98 bayonet, manufactured by Richard Herder of Solingen. Imperial acceptance stamp to the flat back of the blade, regimental markings ‘118.R.5.K.2’. Very slight sharpening marks to the blade. Undamaged wood grips. Faint acceptance stamp to the upper pommel. Rifle retaining button working correctly. Fitting into its original scabbard, which has one minor indentation to the lower section of the scabbard.
