GERMAN WWI MAUSER 9805 SAW BACK BAYONET, BAVARIAN REGIMENT MARKED.

A scarce saw back bayonet, blade excellent, slight evidence of some sharpening marks, clearly marked ‘Crown’ over ‘Erfurt’ with the Imperial acceptance stamp on the flat section of the blade just below the saw back. Regimentally marked to the hilt of the bayonet ‘G.P.2’ followed by ‘203’. Wood grips excellent. Imperial acceptance stamp to the upper pommel, bayonet retaining button functioning correctly. Fitted into its leather and steel scabbard, leather good with one crease to the centre. Complete with its original leather frog and cream and red company knot.
