GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE DOUBLE EREL GENERAL’S WHITE TOP VISOR CAP.

Good upper size 57 or 58 removable white top visor cap for a Luftwaffe General. The white top having some light foxing from storage, the top is removable from the Erel produced base. The high quality bullion gold eagle, which is on white background is lightly tacked with a total of 10 threads only to the white top. Standard black mohair centre band with a run of bullion gold waffenfarbe to either side of the band. Very nice high quality gold bullion cockade with its Erel vented centre. Gold cap cords with the commonly encountered Luftwaffe double edged front peak. To the inside of the front visor a residue of black patent material has inlaid itself onto the green, probably from laying on another item of similar material within a heated situation. To the interior it is gold satin lined, a complete celluloid centre lozenge with a good clear silver blocked Erel Sonderklaas lozenge formed marking underneath the celluloid. Some age staining between the threads of the celluloid lozenge and the satin with a grey leather sweatband having a gold Erel block marking to the grey leather. To the interior the Erel vented hole is clearly in place.
