BRITISH WWI 1902 MODEL STIFF TOP CAP.

A very nice example of the enlisted ranks 1902 stiff top cap, this was the cap worn by all enlisted ranks at the beginning of WWI. Totally free of any moth. Some slight thinness of nap to the crown. Fitted with its slightly degraded leather side buttons. Correct strap and fitted with the badge of the Royal Artillery. Completely lined inside in the oilskin material with the white ink marking of ‘173’ over the letter ‘O’ with WD and broad arrow marking. Some finger marks from pulling on and taking off the cap on the inside of the visor, which is in a green fabric. Nice shape, possibly size 56 or 57.
