GERMAN WWII BARN FIND M.40 LUFTWAFFE COMBAT HELMET.

A lovely barn find helmet being a M.40 Luftwaffe helmet, which has been left probably in a loft or a barn somewhere on the continent of Europe. Surface rust overall to the skull, very little corrosion to the skull itself, with the remains of its original zinc banded liner. The leather is pretty much intact with most of the tongues present but delicate and with half of the long section of the strap. A lovely relic of WWII, faint traces of a national tri colour is showing on the right hand side of the helmet and on the left hand side the very right hand tip of the Luftwaffe decal.theoretically a M 40 should not have twin decals, but the evidence is on this helmet for all to see.
