GERMAN WWI M18 TRENCH HELMET.
A very nice example of the late war introduced M 18 combat helmet. The more simplified version of constructing the M-16 and M 17 helmet without the strap attachment lugs on the interior shell. Size 62 shell retaining at least 90% of its early apple green finish, with slight knocks and abrasions overall. It’s complete M 18 liner system all intact, constructed in white leather with all the inner cushions fitted, and its original leather drawstring, its very strong soft and supple leather M 18 carbine clip chinstrap system, Munich maker stamped and 1918 dated to the leather tab underneath the carbine clip. Rubber ink stamp AK 62 into the inner rear skirt, a series of difficult to read letters and numbers stamped into the upper inner crown, a superb example.
