GERMAN WWII EX AUSTRIAN WWI M17 ARMY DOUBLE DECAL TRANSITIONAL HELMET.

Reissued to the army of the Third Reich in the early 30s this Austrian M-17 shell, the size of the shell does not seem to be stamped into the metal, however the liner size is 57. Originally Ordinance re painted in apple, green twin Third Reich army decals are fitted which are complete and undamaged but having some light rust bleed through the decals, some rust bleed through the apple green paint around the visor area, the original M35 liner retaining rivet heads have been used as they are still retaining virtually all of the apple green paint. To the interior the M 35 liner system has been fitted, good light tan colour soft and supple, with its drawstring ,a 1939 dated nice quality chinstrap fitted.
