The large size Q66 M.17 trench helmet with the remains of its three colour camouflage, which is a mixture of a stripe and small block pattern with an unusual lighter shade maroon than normally encountered. Narrow black separation lines. To the front of the helmet the original post home label to ‘Mr. F. Landry , 943 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts USA’ with the name of ‘Private R.R.Landry’ also applied to the label as the sender. To the interior rear skirt the faded remains of the identical label. Complete with its shrivelled and slightly congealed three section sweatband with its original drawstring.
