GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OBSERVERS WATCH STRAPS.

A rare piece of equipment being the full double thickness strap with nickel buckle that is normally fitted to the large Luftwaffe observer watch known as the B-Uhr. These straps were constructed in a manner that enabled the watch to be strapped around the leg of the aviator whilst flying. A small quantity were recently discovered in Czechoslovakia, it is well known that the POST WAR Czechoslovakian Air Force used large amounts of discarded Luftwaffe equipment in WWII, these were once attached to watches as the rivet holes can clearly be seen where rivets were attached, these can be used again easily. Watches themselves fetch up to £ 4,000 on the open collectors market.
