GERMAN WWII BATTLESHIP GRAFF SPEE CREW MEMBERS DOCUMENTS.

Any items relating the battleship Graff Spee are rare, the first capital ship of the German Navy to be lost in World War II and Britain’s first major victory on the high seas in World War II, immortalised in film. The documents belong to Naval Shoemaker Franz Colgat, the A5 size document for the Third Reich awarded 1914/ 18 War Honour cross, issued whilst as a crew member of the Battleship Schleswig Holstein, A 4 sized citation for 1 October 1938 medal as a member of the crew of Admiral Graff Spee creased overall, the A 4 r sized citation for 26th October for the Memeland medal creased overall, a 1936 dated postcard showing the Admiral Graff Spee posted in Wilhelmshaven to his parents, postcard of the burning of the Graff Spee in the River Plate, a quantity of naval photographs.
