A large size possibly 58, classic navy floppy shape, very high quality Melton material construction, a matching set of officer quality bullion wire gold eagle and cockade, standard Naval style strap, twin anchor side buttons, NCO type double thickness edge to front visor, removable mohair centre band, the blue top to the cap is removable. To the interior the mid tan leather sweatband all complete, with maker or retailers name of Karl Weffels of Wilhelmshaven ink stamped to the interior of the sweatband, the remainder of the interior in blue rayonl or silk, centre celluloid lozenge never fitted.
