Excellent bright blade by E & F Horster of Solingen, standard naval etched pattern blade, the dagger still has its leather washer intact, the scabbard of the lightning bolt pattern without any indentations, with its original silver Portapee knot in its original wrapped form, celluloid grip undamaged with all grip wire intact, slightly subdued gilt to all of the fittings. The dagger is fitted with a matched pair of the cast hanging straps, fabric excellent, good gilt to the lions head buckles, some slight loss of gilt to the four fully functioning clips, the steadying chain in steel has lost all its gilt.
