A beautiful blade by WKC having the standard naval etched patterns, the red felt washer still intact, the dagger a good tight and snug fit to the scabbard, celluloid grip with all its grip wire perfect, the dagger has its original silver porterpee knot in its original wrapped form, with slight toning to the silver, totally un-dented scabbard with all of its gilt remaining. The dagger fitted with a matching set of the aluminium gilded hanging straps, fabric good, slight loss of gilding to the clips, with all clip working correctly, the small steadying chain intact but has lost all of its gilt. The hammered scabbard variant of the Naval Officers of dagger is much harder to obtain than the standard lightning bolt patterns, officers paid extra for this feature.
