GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN’S OFFICERS SECOND ULHAN REGIMENT HELMET

A very nice condition large size leather skull for an officer in the Prussian 2nd Ulhan Regiment. The mortar board top crazed overall, some minor cracking and crazing to the lower skull, all of the fittings, which include the front plate, domed chin scales, front peak trim, all in good gilt, the Red ribbed woollen Rabat which sits underneath the mortar board top and is trimmed in black and silver for Prussia is without moth damage . The helmet is fitted with a short set of silver bullion cap Lines, it’s one only Prussian officers cockade, its bullion wire officers field cockade which is fitted to the mortar board top. To the interior the leather sweatband in white leather has seen wear use and is slightly discoloured, with its green inner silk lining. A rare Ulhan wrap helmet.
