GERMAN WWII STREIFENDIENST SOLDBUCH AND WEHRPASS.
A very scarce pair, soldbuch with good photograph with Army M.40 tunic, entries from January 43 to January 45 shows infantry service, training in the Streifendienst training unit. wehrpass photograph in civil cloth. Entries from February 40 to 7th May 40. Military service in the Ukraine February 43 to February 44, probably against partisans. Action in Slovakia with the Streifendienst October 44 to May 45. Also an army document discharging him from the German Army 7th May 45 and two copies of his U.S.Army discharge form. There are also Soviets stamps in his wehrpass showing that he was later re-arrested by the Soviets. Very good condition. The Army Streifendienst was a special section of the Feldgendarmerie responsible for rounding up army deserters, fight ing partisans, etc., in rear areas behind the front line. Documents to the Streifendienst are very scarce as most were destroyed by the members at the end of the war.
