VICHY FRANCE WWII A RARE BADGE OF THE GAELIC FRANCISQUE.

This Order was established by Marshall Petain as Head of the Third Reich Alliance Government of Vichy in 1941. At least 2,626 individuals received the Order of the Francisque, the total number of recipients remains however unknown as the archive listing all the Orders was burnt at the end of WWII. The enamels are perfect, lapel tinny type fixing to the reverse side with the maker of Arthus Bertrand Paris.
