GERMAN WWI DEMAG FIGHTING KNIFE.

A superb condition straight wood handled fighting knife. Wood grip still with good light colour, all ribbing complete. The blade is extremely good, very faint traces of sharpening at the point but much cross grain finish remaining. Marked ‘Demag’ within a circle, also Imperial German acceptance stamp marked, plus a ‘Germany’ stamp close to the inspection stamp. All leather washer still complete, in its original scabbard with 100% of original paint finish remaining, its good strong supple leather belt loop with its hilt closing catch with fully functional male/female closing studs. The Germany stamp indicating it was possibly originally designated for export with the export contract cancelled and stamped for acceptance into the Imperial German forces.
