GERMAN WWII FORESTRY HANGER WITH EAGLE AND SWASTIKA TO THE HILT.

This is the only Forestry sidearm that had the Third Reich insignia cast into the grip area, this is the aluminium version, which is the most favoured amongst collectors. Good gilt overall, slight loss of the gilding to the lower edge of the clamshell. All three acorns fitted to the bone hilt with good frosted finish to the tips of the acorns. The excellent condition blade by Tiger of Solingen having all good clear hunting etchings visible, with its original green felt washer. Fitted into its brown leather scabbard, which is good and supple with strong stitching with the upper and lower gilded mounts. A central acorn fitting for the frog.
