GERMAN WWII HERMANN GORING GIFT BOX.

A highly interesting item being a leather bound and white metal trimmed semi circular box measuring 15cms across and 9cms in height, covered in the highest quality black leather with carrying handle. Lined in green watered silk on both the upper lid and the base with both edges of the lid and the box trimmed in very high nickel plated metal. Gold embossed to the exterior lid is a four line presentation from Hermann Goring in gratitude July 1937 at Carinhall. Carinhall, the country residence of Herman Goring, North East of Berlin, construction started 1933 and on the 10th April 1935 Carinhall was the venue for Goring?s wedding banquet with his second wife. This gift box would appear to be in gratitude to visitors or possibly workers completing a project at Carinhall.
