GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE TROPICAL FIELD CAP WITH SOUTACHE.

A good well service used visored tropical field cap for a Kriegsmarine enlisted man with light blue waffenfarbe. The cap has seen much service wear, slightly bleached. Complete with its correct gold on tan Bevo woven eagle, and correct Bevo cockade below. Surrounding the lower cockade is the inverted V waffenfarbe in light blue. We cannot find any photographic evidence of waffenfarbe being worn on Naval tropical caps, or regulations, however this waffenfarbe undoubtedly has been fitted to the cap its original issue. The initials HS have been hand applied in ink to the inner light blue lining, some damage to the lining at the rear of the cap, the name of Schliewa also hand applied to lower edge of the inner lining, some light nicks to the material to the exterior but no exterior heavy damage or staining.
