GERMAN WWII NSKK CHAINED OFFICERS DAGGER.

A very good early example of the NSKK chained officers dagger, blade by C &A Lindner, excellent cross grain finish remaining to blade with the blackened finish to the motto, a small area of cleaned corrosion close to the lower cross guard mount, early nickel grip mounts, with the lower grip mount unit marked NRH, good wood grip, with an undamaged national eagle and a small indentation to the enamel of the SA inset. All fitted into its chained scabbard. At the front of the upper scabbard mount the engraving, 20 .8. 1937 Motorstandarte 42. This dagger a classic example of a standard NSKK M33 dagger being upgraded to a model 36 officers. Some slight loss of paint to the right hand side of the upper part of the scabbard otherwise paint good, plating thin to the centre mount, plating on the other mounts excellent, top link of the chain with the standard marking,Musterschutz NSKK Korpsfuhrung, the spring in the belt clip non-functional.
