GERMAN WWII REICH POSTSCHUTZE SERVICE BAYONET.

A very nice clean example of the standard long model army dress bayonet with single fuller blade, maker marked Paul Weyersberg of Solingen, the blade is further issue stamped with large DRP plus number 85, this tells us that the bayonet was issued to the Deutsches Reich Postschutze ,undamaged grips, excellent bright finish to the upper pommel and grip area, complete with its rifle fitting system which is present and working correctly, all fitted into its mint condition scabbard which itself fits into the rather unique metal and leather frog the leather parts are the same as a l normally found frog with the addition of a lower back plate to the frog in metal which is riveted to the leather and is stamped DRP, this stamping indicates Deutsche Reich Patent.
