GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE NCO VISOR CAP.

An extremely nice condition, very large size, possibly 59 or 60, Kriegsmarine nco visor cap. Completely free of any moth damage. Classic navy shape, fitted with its gilded national eagle, which has some slight discoloration to the upper right-hand wingtip. A wool embroidered nco quality national cockade with metallic centre. Standard Kriegsmarine strap with nice gilded anchor side buttons. The visor is of the double ribbed type commonly found on nco visor caps. To the interior the leather sweatband is all complete, it is split in one place and a half split in another. The cap still has a very good colour. The remainder of the interior is lined in navy satin. A small size centre celluloid non maker or non retailer marked lozenge is fitted with the original owner’s name label of ‘Harms’ applied by some form of glue to the centre celluloid lozenge. The same name is repeated in ink to the interior of the leather sweatband.
