GERMAN WWII CAMOUFLAGE M.40 COMBAT HELMET.
A rare helmet being a Q64 combat helmet that has been covered in a thick coating of material very similar to the Zimmerit, then had a wire framework placed over it. The camouflage is of the Normandy pattern. During the subsequent years the wire frame has either rotted and fallen off or been removed by a collector not knowing its importance. Complete with its 1940 pattern inner liner, which is complete however the stitching holding the liner together has rotted, it has faint traces of a name applied. The long section of the chinstrap is present, it is solid from dampness. The small section is remaining but without the closure buckle.
