GERMAN WWII SS RZM HELMET.

A good example of the extremely difficult to find SS RZM marked helmet. Modelled on the M.16 helmet but having a deeper and more pronounced turned ridge. The exterior has virtually all of its black painted finish remaining with minor abrasions. To the interior the M.16 WWI period liner all complete but loose within the helmet. All of the tongues complete with part of its original drawstring and the original horsehair pad to each leather pad, although they are degrading. The chinstrap is missing, marked clearly on both inner sides, one with the large SS runes, to the opposite side RZM marking, which a previous collector has rubbed the paint away to expose the RZM marking, fortunately to the SS side this has not been removed. It is rare to find one of these helmets.
