The cut is similar to the M 38 army style cap, Bevo woven yellow eagle on dark blue backing, the cockade is the silver with centre on a army green backing. Fitted to the side is a unidentified submarine flotilla two-piece tradition badge . to the interior a original Naval style name label with the hand applied name of Zimmermann with a 53 over 55.White ink stamped W 56 indicating that this was issued at the Wilhelmshaven clothing depot and size 56, good finish to nap of cloth, no moth.
