GERMAN WWI BAVARIAN ERSATZ BELT BUCKLE.

Towards the end of WWI when shortages were evident the buckles amongst many other things were painted on one side, this Bavarian enlisted mans buckle is field grey painted to the exterior, plain steel to the interior, a two-piece constructed buckle with its inner clip and its steel double pronged belt fixing system.
