GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE/NAVAL CLOCK PROPELLER MOUNTED.
A highly unusual item being the face and movement of a standard form Kreigsmarine ships clock, the insignia engraved to the face is the Luftwaffe eagle with the lettering below FL . SCH, this is the insignia of a Luftwaffe fire control anti-aircraft ship. The face and movement have been mounted within a cut down French World War I propeller, the propeller boss marked 130 HP OLERGET. We will never know the full story but can only imagine that this has been mounted on a propeller by a Luftwaffe unit within France during World War II. A mild attempt has been made to erase the swastika within the Luftwaffe insignia, the swastika itself is still visible, an unusual winder comes with the clock which is numbered 9 , which matches the number 9 on the hinge section of the clock body. movement appears to be fully functional, but no guarantees can be given on any operational equipment.
