GERMAN WWII NAVAL BINOCULARS.
An optically perfect pair of 7 x 50 binoculars, coded BEH. Some wear to the paintwork of the body the simulated leather covering all good and strong, a replacement leather neck strap and rubber eyepiece, to the right-hand side of the body is a brass plaque with the name Lt W R Benson RN applied, underneath the plaque can clearly be seen the upper part of the Third Reich eagle the plaque can be unscrewed and the complete eagle and swastika is below the plaque, followed by issue number and letter N which designates North Sea fleet issue. In their original heavily stamped Kreigsmarine carrying case ,the case is also maker marked with its long shoulder strap. The optics on these binoculars have recently been cleaned and serviced. With the binoculars is a wealth of information relating to Lieutenant Commander Benson which was obtained from Lieutenant Commander Benson’s son.
