GERMAN WWI BAVARIAN FIELD ARTILLERY RESERVE OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE.

A very nice good size all leather pickelhaube to a Bavarian Reserve Field Artillery Officer. The leather skull is absolutely excellent with just a few minor creases from heat. Magnificent gilt to the fluted plume holder, cross base and very deeply struck front plate with cut out officers crown, the plate is overlaid with a white metal reserve officers cross. Good gilt to the domed chin scales. Square cut front peak. Both the national and Bavarian State officers quality cockades. The sweatband is light tan showing very little wear use. Some age staining to the inner silk lining and finished with its red parade hair plume. Fitted into its conical travelling case with its closure strap fully operational.
