A virtually unused condition Waffen SS infantry officers visor cap. A good size although unmarked, on test we estimate 57 or 58. Constructed in the gabardine quality material, white waffenfarbe to the upper crown and to the upper and lower sections of the black velvet centre band. Fitted with a good set of the SS eagle and skull slight loss of finish to the crown and high points of the skull, standard officers cords. To the interior light cream rayon lined with a complete and undamaged centre celluloid lozenge, there is very little evidence of wear use to the interior, minor staining, the mid-tan leather sweatband has dried considerably and it is advised not to pull the sweatband away from the main body of the cap to inspect the interior there may be a danger of the leather splitting. A very fine example.
