An excellent work by Schiffer Military History book authored by Paul Louis Johnson. 351 pages of superb black and white photographs of the horses of the German Army in action. It should always be remembered that horses were, even by 1945, still the main stay of transportation for the German Armed Forces. Published in 2006. It is estimated by June 1941 the German Armed Forces had amassed 750,000 horses. Excellent colour plates of all the German horse equipment and accessories.
