GERMAN WWII LEATHER PANZER/MARINE WRAP OVER JACKET.

The double breasted wrap over all black leather jacket, very close in construction to a Panzer tunic, which is believed amongst collectors to have originally been issued as a Kriegsmarine item but has been seen in images being used by Panzer troops in Normandy. Five button front with two rows of buttons allowing for the tunic to be worn over another garment, unlined. The canvas inside pocket is fully RB numbered, date ’10.43’ size number ‘4’. There are no pockets on this garment, it is short as the Panzer tunic is, with button cuffs. An excellent picture of one of these being worn by an SS Panzer Commander in Normandy exists.
