GERMAN WWII DAK M40 FIELD CAP.

A very well service used Carl Halfer produced 1941 dated model 1940 field cap with Soutache removed. Worn overall as is evident by our website images and virtually bleached white. The insignia fitted to the cap in the classic Carl Halfer manner of cross hatched stitching. The interior liner in the standard red with traces of the Carl Halfer name and address with c clear size 57 and clear date of 1941. A very faint shadow remains of where the soutache was originally fitted with no possibility of identifying the colour.
