BRITISH WWII VICKERS K GUN POUCHES.
A rare set of Vickers K gun pouches with their cross straps. Vickers K guns were mounted on the rear and front of Long Range Desert Group and SAS Jeeps and Chevrolet trucks, these could possibly have been used by one of those organizations. Nice condition. The Vickers K gun initially designed as an aircraft gun had the highest rate of fire of any British machine gun of WWII was converted in many cases for ground use as we have described. Slight staining to the interior of the reverse side of one of the pouches. Both pouches are maker marked and dated ‘1944’ also could have been used by some of the SAS Jeep mounted Jedburgh teams inserted into central France in 1944.
