GERMAN WWII GAU TRADITION BADGE WITH ITS MINIATURE.

A very rare badge with its even rarer miniature being the Party District Commemorative Badge known as the Tradition Gau Badge. These badges were awarded by local Gauleiters only in recognition of loyal outstanding service to the Party by members of the Gau. This example in superb condition, all of the black painted finish to the central swastika complete. The construction matches all known examples. Maker marked in raised relief on the reverse side ‘Wachter & Langer of Mittweider’ with the raised ‘800’ silver stamp present. Unusual double thickness pin and the two hollow rivets holding the swastika to the main body. With its incredibly rare 15mm miniature lapel pin, which is placed in its LDO display section of card. Faintly marked on the reverse side ‘RZM, but the number is clearer at‘1/700’.
