GERMAN WWI SAXON LEIB GRENADIER REGIMENT NO.100 OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE.

A good mid upper size all leather pickelhaube for an officer in Saxon Leib Grenadier 100. Skull good with crazing and some congealing overall, both peaks firmly attached to the main body. All of the fittings are in white metal with the exception of the gilded stars to the circular spike base and the gilded Saxon overlay plate to the silvered front plate. Correct silvered flat chin scales. The helmet is fitted with both its national and Saxon cockades in the non serrated edge Saxon style. To the interior the mid brown sweatband is all complete, it has seen considerable wear use, one minor split in the forehead area. The helmet is complete with its inner silk.
