GERMAN PRE 1914 PRUSSIAN GUARD KUIRASSIER REGIMENTAL SWORD.

A fabulous condition model 1880 Guard Cuirassier Regiment 3 bar hilted sword. The 97.5cm length blade in magnificent condition with the central blued panel reading ‘GUARD KUIRASSIER REGIMENT’ with two smaller blued panels either side of the centre panel. On the reverse side a long panel showing cavalry troops with floriated patterns either side. Numbered to the sword ‘1’ over ‘139’ which also matches the numbering on the scabbard. The scabbard itself with at least 50% of the original black paint finish remaining with its non dented and non bent with its single ‘1896’ single ring carrying configuration. On the reverse flat side of the blade the name of the retailer ‘W.Rohde, Berlin’. The three bar brass hilt is undamaged, nicely toned, with the grip covered in shark skin with all of its grip wire intact. A rare sword and great accompaniment to anybody owning a Guard Kuirassier or Guard Du Korps helmet.
