A nice condition size ‘55½’ pencil marked to the inside of the skull, all leather skull. Both peaks securely attached to the main body. All of the fittings, which include the back strap, the large cruciform spike base, the removable smooth spike, front plate with the letters ‘FR’ to the centre and the domed chin scales, front peak trim are all in white metal. The cockades are both the national and State officers quality. The crown on the front plate is officers cut out, there is a pearl ring below the spike with domes fitted to the cruciform. To the interior the light tan leather sweatband showing very minor wear use. The interior cream silk inner liner is present and slightly shot. The interior skull has excellent colour and an original owner’s name has been pencilled on to the inner skull. A nice helmet.
