GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE SECRET FIELD POLICE SHOULDER BOARDS.

A very scarce set of insignia for a Luftwaffe Oberfeldpolizeidirektor. These are a worn matched pair, removed from a tunic with stitches still visible. The GFP have lost their finish. Still a small amount of gilding remaining to the rank pip below. No moth damage. The aperture for the shoulder button that holds the shoulder boards down showing wear use of continuous rubbing of the button against the aperture. Subdued silver lace. The Secret Field Police served the same role in the Armed Forces as the Gestapo in civilian life.
