GERMAN WWII NSKK M.40 HELMET.

A very difficult to find helmet of WWII being the helmet issued to the NSKK Luftwaffe units. Good size M.40 helmet, the shell is marked ‘ET64’ still retaining a good degree of its mid war Luftwaffe blue grey finish. The NSKK decal with some losses, as virtually every one of the NSKK helmets that appear on the market seem to have. Original M.40 zinc liner band, the liner is stamped size ‘56’. All tongues present with its original drawstring. The chinstrap is a replacement. The liner retaining rivet heads still having some of its Luftwaffe blue grey paint in place. Batch number ‘1429’ stamped to the rear inner skirt. A greater degree of Luftwaffe colour evident to the inside skirt and upper inner crown area then the exterior of the shell.
