A mint unissued condition, size 55, tropical M.38 overseas cap. Standard olive brown material with its correct Bevo woven blue on tan machine stitched insignia with its correct national cockade with Panzer inverted ‘P’ surrounding the national cockade. Red lining, mint unused, maker stamped ‘Hans Brandt’ to the upper inner crown with the inventory numbers ‘1142’. Approximately 20 years ago a large quantity of unissued Afrika Korps tropical overseas cap were discovered in Austria, only very few with soutache fitted and most of them had this 1142 inventory code.
