GERMAN WWII GROSS ADMIRAL RAEDER SIGNATURE.

The pen signature of Grand Admiral Erich Raeder on his photo postcard, the card published by Film Photo Verlag Berlin showing him in full Grand Admiral’s uniform carrying his Admiral’s baton. The pen signature to the upper left hand corner may be difficult to pick up on our web images. His history is well known, served in WWI in the battle of Jutland and was retired on Hitler’s orders on January 30th 1943. In Nuremberg he was found guilty of 3 counts and was sentenced to life imprisonment, which was commuted in 1956 due to his bad health.
