GERMAN WWII HITLER YOUTH REICH FINANCIAL SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM.
A rare album and superbly researched containing approximately 90 photographs. Standard linen exterior belonging to Trommler (Drummer Bayen) Jhno Joost Constant Bayen, a drummer in the Sudost Karten Hitler Youth. The photographs of HJ groups marching bands in various Austrian town, Klagenfurt and Villach with teachers, HJ leaders, a Gauleiter, Wehrmacht officers in uniforms, a remembrance ceremony, meeting Italian youth leaders at the Oberkrain Railway Station, Reich Minister Funk. Interestingly Bayen wears a DJ buckle, not the HJ buckle that his comrades wear, included are four prisoner of war cards to home from Camp No. 142 in Thol Par Pont-D’Ain in France. The noted Hitler Youth author unfortunately now deceased, Philip Baker who wrote many good works on the Hitler Youth writes to the previous owner of this album in January 1999 thanking him for the loan of the album, he then goes on in his letters to identify each page and what each pages contains. Images number 56, 58 and 80 definitely identifying him wearing the RFS shoulder boards. The following prisoner of war cards are four cards which he writes to his parents in late 44 and early 45 sending them messages that he is OK and look forward to seeing them some time in the future. A magnificent Reich Finance School photograph album, very well researched and expertly presented.
