BRITISH WWII RAF IRVIN JACKET.

A good early pattern two panel sheepskin lined Irvin jacket, the skin is good and strong, no evidence of any skin rot. All fur complete, this is a lighter tan version of the Irvin jacket. Complete with its hanging chain, its neck closure strap, its black elasticated goggle strap on the reverse of the collar. The front main zip, although not marked, appears to be an original Lightning. The waist belt with its single nickel buckle is complete. Both of the sleeve zips have been removed and a patch put over the split in the skin and it would also appear that the cuffs have been strengthened. The interior sheepskin is thick. The collar would appear slightly larger than normal. No size label but on test we estimate it to be between 38 and 40. This si a very usable jacket and it should be remembered that reproductions are available up to £900. We do not offer clothing to fit, returns will not be considered if it is not able to fit the buyer. We only give this size guide for mannequin fitting.
