8 postcard size photographs of soldiers and officers all in field grey, three are mounted, five are either in the trenches or studio shots wearing a combination of pickelhaubes and shakos, one of the images contains a soldier wearing a Hesse pickelhaube, others are wearing a mixture of feldmutzes and visor caps. One is folded and franked, another has a fully descriptive annotation on the reverse side.
