A large and highly impressive brown leather folder measuring 43 x 33cm with gold edging, on opening the double folded citation to the left hand side beautifully applied on velum the initials ‘OT’ on the right hand side, again, with the most superb handwork overlaid over the gold insignia of the Handworkers Society is a citation to Gauleiter and Staatstrat Otto Telschow, it appoints him as Honorary Master of the East Hannover Handcraft Workers Association and was presented to him at the Gau Headquarters in Luneburg on the 26th April 1939. The long presentation text describing him as a loyal old party member and friend of the Fuhrer. Telschow was a very early party member, his number being 7057, having joined the party in July 1935, he was arrested by British soldiers in May 1945 and committed suicide by slashing his wrists and taking poison. He died at Luneburg on the 31st May 1945.
